A young woman studying engineering was subjected to torture by a man who imprisoned her in a room and poured hot oil on her in the name of love. Fortunately, she managed to escape and informed her parents of the incident, after which she was taken to a government hospital for medical attention.
The victim, a resident of Sanivarapupeta, is currently pursuing her third year of engineering at JNTU Kakinada. The suspect, identified as S. Anudeep from Duggirala near her residence, reportedly lured her into a trap by expressing his love for her and promising to marry her.
However, when the girl visited his residence, he locked her up there and subjected her to physical and emotional abuse. When she refused to marry him, he even threatened to kill her. Fortunately, she managed to escape and reach safety before reporting the incident to the authorities.
