Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ambitions to come to power in Telangana, stating that the party would not even be able to secure its election deposits if it contests in Khammam. At a BRS Athmeeya Sammelanam event in Kallur, Rao spoke about Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent public meeting at Chevella, claiming that the meeting failed to garner public support despite the BJP mobilizing people from four districts.

Rao added that the BJP is interested only in dividing people on the basis of caste and religion, rather than promoting development. Rao highlighted the achievements of the BRS government, including its pro-farmer stance, as well as the increased cultivation of Yasangi crops and the procurement of grains worth Rs. 26,600 crore last year.

The Telangana government has already announced Rs. 10,000 per acre for farmers affected by unseasonal rains, and the Chief Minister has been fighting for people’s rights, in contrast to Congress and BJP leaders who are slaves to Delhi, according to Rao.
