AP State Fibrenet Limited Chairman Gowtham Reddy announced on Tuesday that APSFL will be introducing a new program called “First Day-First Show.” This program will allow people to watch new movies on the day of their release from the comfort of their homes by subscribing to APSFL.
The launch of this exciting concept is scheduled for June 2 in Visakhapatnam. According to Reddy, both movie producers and audiences will benefit from this arrangement. APSFL aims to provide an opportunity for people to enjoy new movies from the convenience of their homes.
The program is designed to replicate the experience of watching a movie on its first day of release. The inauguration of the program in Visakhapatnam will be done by Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath. Hero R Sai, as well as members of the producers’ council C Kalyan and Rama Satyanarayana, will also be present at the event.
Reddy mentioned that the movie “Nirikshana” will be screened through APSFL for subscribers to enjoy. With the increasing number of movie fans and the rise of platforms like OTT, subscribers can now watch new movies live by paying a subscription fee of Rs 99, without the need for OTT platforms.
The chairman highlighted that this program will be particularly beneficial for people in rural areas who may have difficulty traveling to towns to watch movies in theaters. Reddy assured that this policy will not cause any trouble for theater owners, management, or actors. He emphasized that this approach should be considered as just another form of theater.
Reddy further explained that producers will need to approach APSFL to have their movies screened through this program. APSFL aims to bring its services closer to the people of Andhra Pradesh by expanding its connectivity. They have set a target of laying 55,000km of OFC cable, and currently, 37,000km of cable-laying has been completed. Fiber net connectivity has already been provided to 7,600 villages out of the 11,254 gram panchayats in the state.
The introduction of the “First Day-First Show” program by APSFL opens up new possibilities for movie enthusiasts to enjoy the latest releases conveniently from their homes, bringing entertainment closer to the audience in Andhra Pradesh.
