Adipurush is a film that successfully reimagines the world of Ramayana in an engaging manner, catering to the new age audience. The first half of the movie is particularly impressive, with visually stunning scenes and effectively portrayed key episodes. The 3D shots are adequately executed, enhancing the overall experience for the viewers.

While there are a couple of fight sequences with subpar VFX work, it doesn’t significantly bother the audience, especially the family crowd who will find much to enjoy in this film. Prabhas shines as Shrirama, bringing his star power and talent to the role, and the Hanuman episodes work particularly well in establishing an emotional connection with the audience.

The commercialized version of Ramayana presented in Adipurush is a mixed bag. The first 50% of the film is very good, capturing the attention and interest of the viewers. However, the following 30% tends to drag a bit, and the climax in the last 20% falls somewhat short of expectations. Nevertheless, the film manages to deliver visuals that are better than anticipated, and the background score and music are excellent, complementing the storytelling effectively.

One aspect that stands out is the art direction, especially in the portrayal of the Ravana fort and his demons. The designs bear a strong resemblance to Hollywood fiction films rather than traditional Hindu mythology, which may divide opinions. On the other hand, the depictions of Hanuma, Sugriva, their den, and the Vanara Sainyam are visually appealing, with good VFX work. Though a few fight sequences suffer from poor VFX, it doesn’t significantly impact the overall experience.

Adipurush has a likability factor among families and kids, as it presents a new-age interpretation of the Ramayana story. Prabhas delivers a noteworthy performance as Lord Rama, adding to the film’s assets. However, it is worth noting that the movie falls somewhere between a one-time watch and a good watch, with its uneven pacing and climax.

Overall, Adipurush is an engaging and visually stunning reimagining of the Ramayana. Despite its flaws, it offers enough entertainment value, especially for fans of Prabhas and those looking for a modern take on the epic tale.
